It’s not always easy being the boss-in-charge. And it gets all the more tough when you’re often the only woman sitting in a room full of men, giving them instructions and expecting them to comply. The good thing is – there’s a long history of women who happened to be the first to do things. Women who took charge, lead the way, and set an example for generations to come. What’s fascinating here, though, is that all these kickass women had certain things in common that allowed them to be limitless and have tremendous success in their professional lives!
In this article, we break down Common Traits In All Kickass Female Entrepreneurs.
Being Unique
The sooner you learn that being different isn’t always a bad thing, it could in fact be the thing that sets you apart from the rest of the pack. It doesn’t matter if you are selling the same product as the next women, if you give a different experience she will come back every time. Learn how to do things differently than what everyone else is doing.
Learning To Be Cool With Center Stage
If you have a great brand or product out there but no-one knows about it, it’s not doing anyone any good is it? Learn how to get your brand in front of people who have the position to use your services. This could be as easy as sharing your expertise as an event, or going on a live stream or podcast and giving people insight to whatever your expertise is. If you are an introvert (like myself) learn how to leverage podcast and blogs to get your name out there.
Being Empathetic
The power of emotion and empathy is often neglected in business and entrepreneurship. In fact, you’re expected to be fully *objective* and detach your feelings from every decision you make. But be it Huda Kattan or Vera Wang – female entrepreneurs have demonstrated that empathy towards your clients as well as your employees will take you a long way.
Not Being Easily Provoked
Here’s the one thing all powerful female entrepreneurs have faced at some point – someone else doubting their ability and testing their patience. But the wise thing to do here is not give in to impulse and keep your peace. Too many will try to goad you into an argument. And it’s level-headedness that will get you through such situations. Of course, when the need does arise for a battle, there’s no shame in going full throttle!
Being Fearless
Every woman has what it takes to be successful. It’s just a matter of putting yourself in the right environments. Standing confident in your voice and your industry and not being afraid to walk in a room and own it!!!
